Etymology: Antigonia: Daughter of Oedipus and Jocasta, who defied her uncle, king Creon, by performing funeral rites over her brother Polynices and was condemned to be immured in a cave (Ref. 45335).

Western Indian Ocean: large individuals were found off Farquhar Island and Saya de Malha Bank; juveniles were caught in open waters of the southern Arabian Sea and off the western coast of Hindostan.
